Overview
When a published workflow fails, Keragon emails the person who owns it. That’s useful for the workflows you watch closely — and noisy for the ones you don’t.
You can now choose exactly which of your workflows email you. Go to Settings > Notifications > Workflows, and give each workflow its own switch. You can also turn every failure email off for yourself in one go, or turn a single workflow off directly from the email you just received.
Your choices are yours alone. Turning emails off doesn’t change what your teammates receive, and it doesn’t change the workflow: it keeps running on schedule, and every failure is still recorded in its run history.
Who gets workflow failure emails
- The owner of the workflow. Only workflows you own appear in your list.
- Published workflows only. A workflow that is inactive or still in draft doesn’t send failure emails. (It still appears in your list, so you can set your preference before you publish.)
-
Two kinds of failure are covered, and one switch controls both:
- a workflow run that fails — at most one email per workflow per hour
- a polling trigger that fails — at most one email per workflow every 12 hours
Open your notification settings
- In the Keragon dashboard, open Settings.
- Select the Notifications tab.
- Select the Workflows sub-tab.
Or go straight there: app.keragon.com/settings/notifications/workflows
Turn emails off for one workflow
Find the workflow in the Workflows you own list and switch off Email on failure.
The change saves immediately — there’s no Save button. Switch it back on whenever you want.
💡 This is the right choice for a workflow you already know is failing and are working on, or one whose failures you don’t need to hear about.
Turn a workflow off straight from the email
Every failure email now ends with a way out:
Click Turn them off and Keragon opens your notification settings with that workflow already switched off, and tells you which one:
Nothing else changes, and you can turn it back on from the same screen.
If you instead see “Emails for that workflow weren’t changed”, the workflow isn’t one you own in the organization you’re currently in. If the email came from a different organization, switch to that organization and open the link again.
Turn off every failure email for yourself
The switch at the top — Email me when any of my workflows fails — covers all of your workflows at once.
Turn it off and Keragon stops emailing you about any of your workflows in this organization. Your per-workflow choices are kept while it’s off, and they come back exactly as you left them when you turn it on again.
Find a workflow quickly
If you own a lot of workflows, search by name instead of scrolling. The list shows 20 workflows per page, sorted A–Z.
Good to know
- Your settings are personal. They only affect the emails you receive. A teammate who also owns workflows has their own list and their own switches.
- Settings are per organization. If you belong to more than one Keragon organization, set your preferences separately in each.
- Turning emails off doesn’t pause the workflow. It keeps triggering and keeps running. Only the email stops.
- You can still see every failure in the workflow’s run history — see How to View and Analyze Workflow Run Logs.
- Only workflows you own are listed. If a workflow you expect is missing, it’s owned by someone else in your organization.
If you’re still getting emails you turned off
- Check you’re in the same organization the email came from — preferences don’t carry across organizations.
- Check the workflow name in the email matches the switch you turned off. Similar names are easy to mix up.
- An email that was already on its way when you flipped the switch will still arrive.
If something still looks wrong, contact us at support@keragon.com with the workflow name and the email you received.
