To connect Trustpilot to Keragon, you need three things from Trustpilot Business: an API key, an API secret, and your Business unit ID. This guide shows where to find each one.
Before you start
- Your Trustpilot Business account is on the Enterprise plan, or the Premium plan with the API Module add-on. Other plans don't include API access.
Step 1: Create an API application in Trustpilot
If you dont see Trustpilot API under Invitation methods that means your plan doesn't include API access. You need Enterprise, or Premium with the API Module add-on. Contact your Trustpilot account manager.
- In Trustpilot Business, go to Get reviews > Invitation methods.
- Scroll down and click Try a different way to get reviews, then click Trustpilot API.
- Under Create a new application, enter a name, for example Keragon.
In the redirect URIs field, add both Keragon URLs, each on its own line:
https://api.us-east-1.keragon.com/rest/auth/callback https://api.us-1.keragon.com/rest/auth/callback
- Click Create Application.
Step 2: Copy your API key and secret
- Under Your applications, find the application you just created.
- Make sure its toggle is on.
- Click the Eye icon to show the API key and Secret, then use the Copy-paste icon to copy each one.
Treat the API secret like a password. Don't paste it into shared docs, tickets, or screenshots.
Step 3: Copy your Business unit ID
- In Trustpilot Business, open any website widget (TrustBox) and click Get code.
- In the code, find data-businessunit-id and copy its value, without the quotes. This is your Business unit ID.
Step 4: Connect Trustpilot in Keragon
When you add a Trustpilot step to a workflow, Keragon asks you to connect your account. Enter:
| Keragon field | What to enter |
|---|---|
| Client ID | Your Trustpilot API key |
| Client secret | Your Trustpilot API secret |
| Business unit ID | The Business unit ID you copied in Step 3 |
