Welcome to the Keragon Workflow Editor! This intuitive, visual workspace allows you to easily create and manage automations without needing to write a single line of code. In this guide, we'll explore the key areas of the Workflow Editor to help you get started quickly and confidently.
Understanding the Interface
The Workflow Editor is composed of three primary areas:
1. Header Bar
Located at the top of the editor, the Header Bar provides quick access to essential workflow management features:
- Rename Workflow: Easily rename your workflow by clicking on the workflow name.
- Latest Run Status: The status of the latest workflow run.

Exit Editor: Quickly exit and return to your workflows list.

Publish Workflow: Click to publish and activate your workflow
2. Canvas Area
The Canvas is your main workspace. Here, you'll visually build and organize your workflow by adding and connecting steps (triggers, actions, and logic).

Adding Steps: Click the '+' icon on the Canvas to open the Properties Panel and select new steps (triggers, actions, or logic) to add to your workflow.

Removing Steps: Select a step and click the "bin" icon.
3. Properties Panel
Located on the right side, the Properties Panel allows you to add new steps and configure selected steps, separated into clear sections:
Adding New Steps
When adding a new step:

Select App, Helper, or Logic: Choose the type of step you need:

Apps: Integrate with external applications (e.g., email services, EHRs).

Helpers: Perform data transformations (e.g., formatting dates, text).

Logic: Add conditions, loops and other logic components to control workflow execution.

Select Component: Choose the specific action or trigger provided by the selected app.
Configuring Steps
When clicking an existing step, the Properties Panel displays tabs for detailed configuration:

Description Tab: Provides details and context about the selected action or trigger.

Auth Tab: Connect a new account or select an existing account required for the step.

Inputs Tab: Configure the data inputs flowing into the selected step.
Step Actions
Each step configuration includes these important actions:

Save Step: Save your configured inputs and settings.

Test Step: Initiate the action or trigger immediately to test if it correctly sends or receives data.
Basic Navigation Tips

Zoom & Pan: Use your mouse wheel or trackpad gestures to zoom in and out, or click-and-drag on an empty area of the Canvas to pan.

Selecting Steps: Click on a step to select and edit it.
Automatic Workflow Saving
Keragon automatically saves your workflows periodically, ensuring that your changes are always safely stored. You do not need to manually save your workflows, allowing you to focus entirely on building your automations.
