Connecting your apps

Integrating different applications into your Keragon workflows is a key step towards efficient automation. This process, known as connecting or authenticating your apps, essentially means giving Keragon permission to access and interact with these third-party applications.

How to authenticate your apps

There are two primary ways to authenticate your apps in Keragon: directly through the "Authentications" tab in your dashboard or within a specific step in the workflow editor.

Authenticating through your "Authentications" tab

Step 1: Accessing the Authentications tab

  • Login to Keragon: Start by logging into your Keragon account.
  • Navigate to Authentications: Go to the Authentications tab where you can see all the existing authentications (connections) and click the "+ Create new" button on top right corner.

Step 2: Choosing the app to connect

  1. Select the App: In the New authentication page, you'll find a list of apps that Keragon supports. Choose the app you want to integrate with your workflow.Screenshot 2023-11-09 at 11.28.52 AM.png
  2. Search functionality: If you have a specific app in mind, use the search bar to find it quickly.

Step 3: Finalizing the Connection

  1. Choose the Authentication method: Select the desired authentication method from the drop down.
  2. Provide your credentials: Provide the credentials needed based on the authentication method selected.
  3. Finalize connection: Click the "Connect" button to establish the connection with the app.

Step 4: Using the connected app in your workflow

  1. Adding to Workflow: With the app now connected, you can add it as a trigger or action in your workflow.
  2. Selecting account: Within the app configuration the workflow, you can select the previously created authentication in the "Select account" drop-down.

Authenticating inside your workflow

A similar process as above is followed in order to connect your app while you are inside a workflow.

  1. Select the App: In your workflow editor, add a new step and choose an app or select an existing step.
  2. Navigate to Auth tab: In the Auth tab on the right-side drawer click the "Connect new account".
  3. Finalize the connection: Choose the authentication method, provide your credentials and finalize the connection by clicking the "Connect" button.
